se arroja luz sobre la importancia de la diversidad de especies en los bosques, especialmente en el contexto del cambio clim\u00e1tico y los eventos de sequ\u00eda cada vez m\u00e1s severos y frecuentes en todo el mundo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Esta investigaci\u00f3n, que cuenta con Felipe Bravo como co-autor, aborda la amenaza que enfrentan los bosques debido a los eventos actuales de sequ\u00eda, siendo los bosques monoespec\u00edficos particularmente susceptibles al calentamiento global y a la sequ\u00eda en comparaci\u00f3n con los bosques mixtos. Aunque los bosques mixtos han mostrado en muchos contextos una mayor diversidad de especies, productividad y resistencia, estudios anteriores han presentado hallazgos contrastantes, incluyendo efectos positivos, neutros o negativos en el rendimiento de los \u00e1rboles que podr\u00edan estar relacionados con la diversidad de especies arb\u00f3reas. Los procesos subyacentes a esta relaci\u00f3n necesitan ser investigados m\u00e1s a fondo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">El estudio se centra en los <b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">rasgos anat\u00f3micos de la madera<\/b> como indicadores del funcionamiento de los \u00e1rboles, <b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">evaluando su respuesta a variables clim\u00e1ticas<\/b> como temperatura, precipitaci\u00f3n y frecuencia e intensidad de sequ\u00edas. Espec\u00edficamente, se analizaron rasgos del xilema como el di\u00e1metro hidr\u00e1ulico medio, el espesor de la pared celular y la densidad anat\u00f3mica de la madera en<b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\"> bosques monoespec\u00edficos de <\/b><\/span><em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"><b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">Pinus sylvestris<\/b><\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"> (pino silvestre) <b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">y en mezcla con <\/b><\/span><em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"><b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">Quercus sp<\/b>.<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"> (roble) en tres ubicaciones diferentes de Polonia y Espa\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover); color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Los resultados destacan que la densidad anat\u00f3mica de la madera fue uno de los rasgos m\u00e1s sensibles para detectar las respuestas de los \u00e1rboles a las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas y la sequ\u00eda en diferentes tipos de climas y bosques. Se detectaron mecanismos de facilitaci\u00f3n interespec\u00edficos en la mezcla entre <\/span><em style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover);\"><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Pinus sylvestris<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover); color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"> y <\/span><em style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover);\"><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Quercus sp.<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover); color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">, especialmente durante la temporada de crecimiento temprana y en eventos estresantes como las sequ\u00edas de primavera, aunque tuvieron efectos insignificantes al final de la temporada de crecimiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Los hallazgos sugieren que <b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\">la mezcla de especies<\/b>, en particular la combinaci\u00f3n de <\/span><em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Pinus sylvestris<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\"> y <\/span><em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">Quercus sp.<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_3);\">,<b style=\"color: var(--awb-custom_color_4);\"> aumenta la resiliencia del pino silvestre ante sequ\u00edas extremas<\/b>. En un escenario de calentamiento global, esta mezcla podr\u00eda representar una opci\u00f3n de gesti\u00f3n forestal adaptativa muy adecuada.
